Kasteelkop Guest Farm is a beautiful working farm situated in Frankfort, Free State..  Bring your family, mountain bikes and fishing rods along for some great outdoor fun and fresh air.

Our farm houses have been lovingly restored to their former glory, turning it into luxury self-catering guesthouses. There are 3 free-standing units on the same farm. The Guesthouse, Farmhouse and Schuur. All units have Solar power and Wifi.

Kasteelkop Guestfarm Offers

Accommodation and camping on a beautiful, tranquil Eastern Free-State farm, only a 2 hour drive from Johannesburg. 

On the farm we have 3 beautiful, fully equipped, guest houses sleeping up to 9, 10 and 16 people, respectively as well as 5 campsites. We charge per person and houses are not shared.

Ideal for a romantic getaway, weekend away with friends or family, small conferences, team building, retreat, spending quality time with your children or a holiday.

Kasteelkop Guestfarm Accommodation

GUESTHOUSE

This is a 110 year old renovated sandstone house. The master bedroom is romantic with a queen-size bed, Victorian bath. The second bedroom has two single beds and the third bedroom has a double bed and a daybed. There is a double sleeper couch in the sitting room. 

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven and stove. Outside facilities include a patio with a built-in braai. To top all of that you have a private heated jacuzzi on the stoep with a magnificent view.

FARMHOUSE

The Farmhouse sleeps up to 14 adults and 2 children and comprises 4 bedrooms and a common room.

Room 1: 2 x single beds and a on suite bathroom and Room 2: has a double bed with an on suite bathroom   Room 3: has a queen-size bed, 2 single beds with a on suite bathroom. Room 4: has a double bed and 2 single beds with a bathroom. The lounge has a sleeper couch and 2 single beds.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven and stove. Other facilities include a jacuzzi, a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The farmhouse has 2 patio areas, one is enclosed with a seating and dining area as well as a built-in braai. 

Inside and outside braai as well as a fireplace. Covered stoep with heated jacuzzi.

DE OUDE SCHUUR

It is a one of a kind renovated 100 year old stone shed. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sleeper couch, and can sleep up to 10 people.

Other facilities include a dining area, a fireplace, a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven and stove. There is also a lounge area and a TV. This unit does not have a Jacuzzi but is fully equipped for small conferences and functions.

CAMPING

The campsites are close to the Guest house and have a small ablution block and outdoor area for washing dishes located in a part of the historical old shed (rustic feel). Warm water is supplied by a donkey. There is a power point available for the campers .

Activities on the farm

Kasteelkop is really a place of tranquility and peace... Here you can just come and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the Old world feel of the houses, and swim in a natural pool. Go for a walk, do some cycling or go bird watching.Simply sit on the stoep, make a fire and gaze at the stars. Come camping. Just being in nature. Watch the horses run by, the cattle grazing and the lambs frolicing in the padock.

We offer riding only at prior arrangement, and only to experienced riders.

This is a ideal place for birding as it is very private and we have a large number of grassland species. 

We also have walking and mountain biking trails.
